Uncontrolled humidity in indoor pools can result in uncomfortable conditions as well as corrosion and decay in the building's concrete, steel and wooden structures. Humidity is a characteristic of air that needs to be controlled in closed areas.
Boreas' Pool Dehumidifying Unit is designed to solve the humidity problem in environments requiring climatisation in an energy-saving way. Boreas' Pool Dehumidifying Unit provides up to 8% more electrical energy saving when compared to traditional units.
Boreas Poolside Dehumidifying Air Unit designed for dehumidification process is separated from traditional pool dehumidification air handling units with its low cumulative electricity consumption. In conventional system pool dehumidifying air handling units, as the required fresh air is supplied, moisture from the humid air received from the pool environment is exhausted in equal ratio to the fresh air.
This leads to unnecessary energy losses and in consequence, an increase in the electrical energy expended in the compressor. Since exhaust is performed before the cooling process in Boreas, the unit does not waste energy, and provides the desired dehumidifying capacity with a smaller compressor capacity. Thus over 8% of electricity is saved as compared to conventional units.
Automatic control system picks and applies the most compatible operation scenario based on different working conditions and time of year. With the Internet of Things application, remote tracking and control can be applied as per order. Automatic control and remote tracking/control features are also cost-effective in terms of lower manpower and hours.
